Mainstream Disabled Voucher Program
The Detroit Housing Commission has been awarded 75 Mainstream Disabled Vouchers (MSD). The vouchers will be available to eligible non-elderly families/individuals (age 62 or younger) who are disable and
- Transitioning out of institutional and other segregated settings, or;
- At serious risk of institutionalization, or;
- Currently experiencing homelessness in Wayne and Macomb Counties, or;
- Previously experienced homelessness and currently a client in a permanent supportive housing or rapid rehousing project in Wayne and Macomb Counties, or;
- At risk of experiencing homelessness in Wayne and Macomb Counties.
Applications are available through DHC and through referrals from the following partners:
- Detroit Continuum of Care
- Out Wayne Continuum of Care
- St. Clair Shores/Warren/Macomb County Continuum of Care
- The Information Center
DHC is also required to allow persons currently on the Housing Choice Voucher program who meet the program requirements to be consider for MSD vouchers
