Home > Section 8 > Mod Rehab
The Moderate Rehabilitation Program (Mod Rehab) is designed to provide low and moderately low-income families/individuals with housing assistance in contracted units at specific property locations. Assistance is limited and required to properties previously rehabilitated pursuant to a Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) Contract between the owner and DHC. The program was repealed in October 1991 and no new projects are authorized for development. DHC and the owners of each site negotiate annual contract renewals.
DHC will address policies and procedures related to the Mod Rehab Program. The waiting lists for the properties are managed by DHC, occupancy eligibility is at the discretion of the property owner and the prescribed tenant selection plan. DHC currently has contracts with three (3) Mod Rehab Properties.
